9.7-inch IPad
Apple has announced a new iPad called iPad 9.7-inch. Here is a comparison between the newly announced iPad with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
Design and Display
The 9.7-inch iPad is a successor of the iPad Air 2 that was launched in October 2014. It has an aluminum chassis that measures 240 x 169.5 x 7.5 mm and its weight is 478 grams. Both the devices are available in colors Silver, Gold and Space Gray. The iPad Pro comes in an additional screen of Rose Gold.

Both the tablets are packed with IPS LCD screens of 9.7 inches that carries support for 1,536 x 2,048 pixels. The iPad Pro has a True Tone display that can find out the proper percentage and intensity of white light to make the screen deliver realistic colors.
Chipset, RAM and Storage
The new iPad is powered by Apple A9 chipset that includes a 1.8 GHz dual-core processor and PowerVR GT7600 graphics. It is speculated to feature 2 GB of RAM. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is driven by a more powerful Apple A9X SoC that features a 2.2 GHz dual-core CPU and PowerVR Series 7XT graphics along with 2 GB of RAM. Both the devices are available in storage options of 32 GB and 128 GB. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro also comes in 256 GB storage model.
Camera, Software and Other Features
The 9.7-inch iPad has an 8-megapixel camera that lacks a LED flash. It can shoot full HD resolution videos at 30 fps. It has a 1.2-megapixel selfie camera. It runs on iOS 10 and comes with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. It features dual speakers.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro has a 12-megapixel rear snapper with dual LED flash that can shoot up to 4K resolution videos and supports Live Photos. It has a 5-megapixel front snapper. It comes with a Smart Connector for connecting a keyboard. It also supports Apple Pencil stylus, LTE Advanced and quad speakers. Both the devices are available in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE models. It also features a Touch ID sensor, MacRumors reported.
Battery and Pricing
The 9.7-inch iPad's battery size is not known yet. The Wi-Fi + Cellular 32 GB model is priced at $459 and the 128 GB model costs $559. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available for $729, $829 and $929 for variants like 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. These pricing are of Wi-Fi + Cellular variants. It comes with a 7,306 mAh battery.
