Apple iPhone SE Just Got More Compelling with 128GB Storage Bump for Only $499
The iPhone SE that Apple first introduced in 2016 is no more - the original storage configurations of 16GB and 64GB were bumped off and in their place the tech giant now sells the 32GB and 128GB. The internal memory is now double the size of the original but the pricing remains the same, thus making the iPhone SE of 2017 a more compelling buy.

Sure, the design is unchanged and there are no add-ons to differentiate from the original offerings but storage bump, especially in the case of the 128GB flavor, is nothing to sneer at. More space means a lot for iPhone users as memory expansion is out of the question. With the 128GB on SE, it means more room for creating photos and videos and for storing music or movie files.
And thankfully, Apple provided the 32GB and 128GB iPhone SEs without resorting to price hike - the introductory price remains in effect. For buyers looking to grab the SE with the largest storage space, the asking price is only $499 and 128GB of digital locker is for them to enjoy.
But for Apple fans looking to score savings of $100 while enjoying nearly the same compact but powerful iPhone SE experience, the 32GB model is certainly for them. The device will start selling on Friday for only $399, which is the same tag carried by the now discontinued 16GB iPhone SE.
The 32GB iPhone SE asking price is justified by the device's high-end specifications. A close check will reveal that the inside components that came with the SE is nearly identical with the iPhone 6S but the former brings with it the benefit of easier handling, thanks to its compact size.
And when picking between the SE and the 6S, the decision seems easy considering that the latter with 32GB of storage space still retails for $549. Obviously, buyers going for the 32GB SE will save $150 (or $50 if the choice is the 128GB iPhone), that is if screen size is not a big deal.
So when viewed in practical perspective, the iPhone SE, both in 32GB and 128GB servings, has become a more compelling buy than ever. And the same applies with the freshly introduced 9.7-inch iPad 2017 Edition, which Apple packed with the same iPhone 6S components but with more affordable price of $329.
