"Overwatch" developer Blizzard has a few big updates in the pipeline following the release of a new hero, Orisa.
According to the Express, Blizzard game directorJeff Kaplan revealed that it has the next wave of updates in place coming among which is a custom map editor that would enable players to create their battleground. Kaplan, however, noted that adding such a huge feature would not be easy and may take time considering that "Overwatch" was built with a brand new engine.

"We are extremely open-minded about releasing a map editor for Overwatch someday," he said on Blizzard's online forum in response to queries posted by avid players inquiring about the highly requested feature.
"We have this on our long-term road map and believe heavily in user-made content. But there are many challenges ahead of us and it will be a very long road before our editor can be made available to the public."
Express noted that a more immediate update is a feature that will allow players to save game highlights and easily export them.
In response to a fan asking for updates regarding this feature which is expected to not require external programs, Kaplan said: "This will be live before the end of summer. It's being worked on right now."
Kaplan's statement came a few hours after the release of the big Orisa Patch 1.9, which introduces a robo-tank guardian Orisa and brings a few changes to Assault Maps in Competitive Play and a minor Lucio rework.
The new hero went live in all versions of the game on March 22, but Blizzard said that it would not be available in a competitive multiplayer mode for one week. The developer explained that it wants players to familiarize themselves first with Orisa's abilities before they bring her to competitive games.
