The unveiling event for the Galaxy S8 is scheduled on March 29. Samsung is said to release the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ on April 28. The South Korea-based tech giant wants to ensure if all things are checked properly before it's out for purchase. This could be a reason for the company to delay its release. The second reason is likely to be due to shortage in supply of Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 SoC, TheAndroidSoul reported.
A leaked image revealed by well-known tipster Evan Blass, the Galaxy S8 appears in three color variants of Black Sky, Orchid Grey, and Arctic Silver. It is rumored to come in other colors also. The device is seen with large display without the physical Home button.
The power button is placed on the right side of the phone, whereas the volume key button is on the left side. The image does not show the back of the device. According to previous leaks, the company's logo is placed at the centre of the phone. It has camera setup in the centre with fingerprint scanner located next to it.
The pricing for the Samsung's flagship smartphones have also been revealed by the same leakster. The Galaxy S8 will cost 799 euros (around $860). The Galaxy S8+ will be priced at 899 euros ($967). The DeX accessory (Continuum-like feature that turns the phone into desktop PC when connected to monitor, keyboard and mouse ) will be costing 150 euros ($162).
The Galaxy S8 is expected to sport a 5.8-inch while the Galaxy S8+ is expected to come with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display. Both the phones are rumored to come equipped with Snapdragon 835 chipset. In some regions both phones will come powered by Exynos 8895 SoC.
These phones are pegged to come packed with a 6 GB of RAM exclusive for China, while the 4 GB variant will be coming in other regions. These smartphones are said to come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.
These smartphones are likely to feature a 12-megapixel dual rear cameras and an 8-megapixel front shooter. Both are rumored to come with IP68 certified body, include iris scanner and feature facial recognition. The Galaxy S8 is likely to include a 3,000 mAh battery and the Galaxy S8+ will carry a 3500mAh capacity battery, NDTV reported.
