Fans are eager to get their hands into the still unreleased iPad Air 3.
iPad Air 3 release is reportedly pushed back to an indefinite date as the mass production of the device is rumored to begin in the second quarter.
Previous rumors claimed that iPad Air 3 release will be in March, but this may not be the case as if new rumors are to believe prompted by a report in DigiTimes citing Taiwanese suppliers. Apple has a habit of making the device available on the day or just a week later after the announcement.

The delay could also be prompted by the recent fire in Foxconn. Foxconn is one of the major partners and suppliers. Although Foxconn is quick to say that supply of components for Apple will not be affected by the recent fire, there are speculations that the Chinese company is just covering it up.
According to International Business Times, the upcoming iPad Air 3 will be thinner than its predecessor, although it will boast the same 9.7 inch screen display, but with 4K resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is reported to be powered by the A9X processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The tablet is also expected to pack 3D Touch technology and water and dust resistance features.
iPad Air 3 will have a cheaper price starting at $610 and is cheaper than the current iPad Pro despite its high end specs and features. It is also rumored that the new generation of Apple's tablet will be released alongside new MacBooks.
Apple ordered 2.5 million units of the tablet for the fourth quarter. This is lower compared to the 14.1 million sold iPad units in the fourth quarter of 2013 and the 12.3 million sold iPad units in the fourth quarter of last year. Apple reportedly ordered even lower number of units of iPad Pro for the first quarter of 2016.
It seems that Apple is still testing the waters with the new iPad Pro and is still watching how the consumers will respond to iPad Pro before replacing the iPad Air line.
