However, the release date of "God of War 4" remains a mystery at this point and this has kept the players on guessing on whether the game will hit the store shelves within 2017 or not. But the latest clues uncovered and are now making the rounds online do hint that it will be launched this year.
The first clue is courtesy of the voice actor who take on the role of the game's main protagonist Kratos. The official Twitter page of Christopher Judge offers a catching detail in his account profile, which was first noticed by Push Square.
In his bio, among his famous achievements as actor includes "Kratos-God of War (2017). This doesn't say much as to the game's release date, but this is taken as a hint that "God of War 4" will indeed see its highly awaited release this year.
In addition, another clue picked from late last year came from the game director, Cory Barlog, himself. Barlog, in his tweet, confirmed that the "God of War 4" is now in a fully playable form, from beginning to end for sometime, when he responded to a fan query on social media.

These couple of clues led fans and pundits alike that Santa Monica could already be polishing the game and work hard to push for an official launch by end of 2017. From the looks of it, according to WWG, Sony Interactive Entertainment will make the game its centerpiece at E3 2017.
E3 has always served as the best platform for game developers to reveal a new trailer and a release date reveal for big games like "God of War 4". Many see these possibilities to absolutely take place in June.
