Moto X 2017 is Next Nexus with Stock Android, Mid-Range Specs and Cheap Price Tag?
The Moto X line, last seen in 2015, is far from dead. A new model is coming out this 2017, a new report said, and purportedly the package will include Stock Android, mid-range specifications and a sticker price that is easy to the pocket. The upcoming device promises to be the next Nexus.

Or more correctly, Lenovo's rumored Moto X 2017 push will be the unofficial replacement to Google's Nexus flagship phones, which has been discontinued with the arrival of the Pixel and Pixel XL in late 2016.
According to 9to5Google, the existence of a new Moto X was hinted by gadget tipster hellomotoHK via Google+. The images that were leaked indicated that Lenovo is taking page from the Moto G5 playbook when it comes to the upcoming Moto X industrial design.
The device, when realized, will reportedly boast of a full metal body with the signature curved build. The front display will stretch 5.5-inch diagonally and the back plate is accentuated by antenna lines on the top and bottom portion.
Also bumped up is the rear camera, which the report said will be up to flagship standard with dual camera setting, same as the iPhone 7 from Apple and the soon=to-drop Samsung Galaxy S8.
However, the latest Moto X instalment will not be the flagship that it used to be. That honor has been assigned by Lenovo to the Moto Z series. Instead, the device will be the Chinese device maker's mid-range bet, likely to go against the likes of Samsung's Galaxy A7 2017.
This was evidenced, 9to5Google said, by the Moto X 2017 supposedly drawing its power from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. In fact, the new Moto X is even skipping the SD 820 or 821 and will opt for the Snapdragon 625. The same chip is responsible for firing up a good number of Android flagships being produced by Chinese device makers.
Rounding up the leaked Moto X 2016 specs are 3GB of RAM support and basic storage space of 32GB, which only highlighted Lenovo's plan of making the device a sweet-spot pick for Android fans.
It is expected that on release date, which remains unknown, the Moto X will be a proud near-Pure Android phone, potentially positioning the device in direct collision course with the Nokia 6 as the next-generation Nexus-like smartphone.
