Firaxis Games and 2K Games have released the patch notes for "Sid Meier's Civilization 6" new update arriving this week to PC and later for Mac OS X and Linux. The Spring 2017 Update will bring several balance changes, AI tuning, bug fixes, multiplayer changes and additional contents.

Some highlights of the update include a Harbor balance change that will bring the strength of the different districts in line with each other. There are also added nuances to the warmonger penalties so that when they hit, it will only be in their full strength if players are wresting valuable cities from their opponents.

The adjustment in warmonger penalties will affect the players' Diplomatic status and City Populations. The hit to players' Diplomatic status will be lessened by 20 percent if he declares war on a player that he has previously denounced.

The same twenty percent will also be reduced if he captures a city from a player that he has previously denounced. Forty percent will be reduced if the player takes the city from a player he is already at war with.

The bomber is adjusted and now more effective against cities and the swordsman's combat strength is now reduced to 36. The damages on City and Encampments now remain when the city is traded, and the siege units with bonus movement will still be capable of shooting after they move as long as they still have 2 MP. 

Last month, the game received a free update called Australian Summer 2017 that added mod tools, game balances, bug fixes, visual updates, multiplayer teams and gameplay changes. 

There is no specific date on the Spring 2017 Update for "Sid Meier's Civilization 6"yet. But fans should be on the lookout as 2K Games said that it will be arriving this week.
