Last week, Apple took us by surprise and revealed a special edition red iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to mark more than 10 years of collaboration between Apple and (RED).
Here are five reasons why this red iPhone 7 Plus is worth buying:
The First Ever (PRODUCT) RED iPhone
This is first-ever red colored iPhone that Apple has produced. This is not the first time Apple has made a RED item, though, as the company has released red iPhone cases, watch bands, and other accessories. Moreover, Apple is one of the biggest single contributors to the Global Fund which supports HIV/AIDS programs. The company contributed $130 million out of the $465 million that the Fund has raised.

Buying This iPhone Saves Lives
Apple is devoted to contributing toward building an AIDS-free generation under its decade-old partnership with RED, an organization that fights AIDS. "Ten years ago there were 1,200 babies being born a day with HIV, and now dropped to 400. So there's been a lot of progress, but we still have a lot of work to do to get to an AIDS-free generation by 2020, although we are on target, it's within our sights," Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a recent interview.
Raising Money For Charity
Apple is doing an inspiring job by raising money for a highly remarkable cause. Users can help the cause by purchasing a 128GB or 256GB iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.
Details Are Splendid
Apple has done a superb job of detailing with the (PRODUCT) RED iPhone, especially, the antenna. It has lines at top and bottom of the phone, which almost matches the body of the phone when it is out of direct light. Moreover, the area around the dual camera setup delivers a different shade when the light falls at a different angle. The red rear panel is very bright but the matte finish that gives it a subtle effect. Ultimately, under the bright and warm light, it glows impressively, with the curved edges catching the light.
The Apple logo
Compared to the other iPhone 7 handsets, the Apple logo has not been color-matched to the hue around it. Thus, this is a stainless steel logo. There's another logo here, too, the PRODUCT (RED) one, which is a more subtle.
