"Injustice 2" is offering something new both for the story mode and gaming experience.
"Injustice 2" game developer NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that the next character will be revealed on March 30.
A teaser image posted on the game's website, however, does not give any clue of who the character might be.

Meanwhile, Travelers Today reported that NetherRealm Studios would be "adding some new elements to the story mode."
During an interview with Electric PlayGround, NetherRealm Studios representative Brian Goodman said that there would be a "little more autonomy some player choice that's built in this game." He did not elaborate on this, however, and said that more information would be revealed at a later time.
Goodman said that the story campaign of "Injustice 2" will be "shocking" and that "a lot of people are going to be very intrigued" on how the story will end.
Financial Post, on the other hand, reported that NetherRealm would also introduce a new gear system where players will be allowed to upgrade and modify their character's gear to make their look unique and boost their stats. A gear will be given each time a player wins a fight and cannot be purchased using in-game or real currency.
There are five pieces of gears to collect, namely head, bracers, accessories, chest, and legs. Each will affect four character stats - strength, ability, defense, and health. A bonus is rewarded for anyone who can collect all five pieces of one gear set.
Micro-transactions using a new type of currency called source crystals will only be available for cosmetic features for characters, but the developer made it clear that the game will not be "pay to win."
"Injustice 2" will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16.
