Forget iOS 10 Jailbreak – 4 Compelling Reasons to Install iOS 10.3 Now
With the rollout of iOS 10.3 this week, Apple intends to change the iOS landscape and kill jailbreaking in one fell swoop. While the latter might be true, it's comforting to know that the latest iOS jump is packed with fresh features to make it easier to accept that possibly jailbreaking will soon come to an end.

Hours after the release of iOS 10.3, Luca Todesco announced that he's done with jailbreaking. The Yalu jailbreak creator abandoning public jailbreak appears to be the strongest sign that jailbreaking will be dead soon. Not to mention that Pangu and TaiG were unheard of for months now, indicating they don't intend to provide anything to jailbreak fans anytime soon.
But if jailbreaking will eventually fade away, version 10.3 of is far from disappointing. In fact, there are four good reasons to convince iPhone and iPad users to jump in now and leave behind the life of modified iOS devices.
Snappy animations
Forbes wrote that from the last version, 10.3 gives the feeling of faster UI functionalities and this was confirmed by Apple iOS engineer Renaud Lienhart. Lienhart said in Twitter post the new OS will feel snappier "because many animations were slightly tweaked and shortened, for the better."
This will be evident when launching and switching between apps - the transition will be so swift that users will hardly notice but still appreciate the gorgeous iOS animation.
Increased storage space
A Test performed by Apple Insider showed that when iOS 10.3 is installed on a 256GB iPhone 7 Plus, the reduced weight of the software resulted to higher storage space. The upgrade freed up nearly 8GB of precious memory and the report said such benefit will be felt across the board.
Specifically, iPhone and iPad users limited by the 16GB built-in memory will gain extra space that for sure iOS 10.3 will use optimally.
Faster read and write
The 10.3 memory space gain is credited to the new file system Apple has introduced with the new version. From HFS+, APFS is now in effect and that means all iOS device users will be treated to faster read and write processing.
And that's because APFS is better optimized for solid state drives (SSDs), which are in use on all iPhone and iPad models.
Enhanced encryption
Most importantly, the File System APFS is not only about optimal file management. Apple made sure that security is a big gainer too as APFS on iOS 10.3 also means that mobile operating system is now a more robust encryption.
That would mean increased privacy and security protection in the iOS platform but it's important to note that the price to pay is the likelihood of no more jailbreaks to come in the future.
