According to Teslarati, features such as the Auto Lane Change and High Speed for Autosteer were previously missing from the Tesla Model S and Model X. Now, cars that have been updated with v8.1 can now enjoy these features and a lot more.

The Auto Lane Change, as the name suggests, allows both the Model S and Model X cars to change lanes on their own. It also alerts the driver when it deems it safe to change lanes, according to Tech Times.
Autosteering will now be faster. Update 8.1 now lets the Tesla cars to move beyond 55 mph at up to 80 mph. The Autopilot feature also brings the "Summon." Driverless parking has now been brought over to HW2 cars after being introduced first to HW1 vehicles via the 7.1 update.
Car owners can now have their Tesla Model S and Model X cars to park their cars on their own or recover them from their parking spot. This works seamlessly using the Tesla mobile app or even just the keyfob.
Other features that arrived to the EVs via the 8.1 software update include the Lane Departure Warning, which alerts the driver when the vehicle crosses a lane marking by sending vibrations to the steering wheel, and automatic adjustments. Owners can now adjust their seats and the height of the falcon doors with a single tap.
The cars equipped with hardware 2 in North America have so far been the only ones to receive the update 8.1. Tesla Model S and Model X across the globe will have to wait for a few days to get it.
