The latest updates for the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" for the PS4 will feature a new game trailer next month and playable characters from the latest "Star Wars" movies.

It seems that Electronic Arts announced the first trailer for the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront 2" for the PlayStation 4 will launch on April 15 during this year's "Star Wars Celebration" in Orlando.

There will also be a special panel for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" which will be streamed online. The panel will als feature the game’s development team from the three separate Electronic Arts studios of DICE, Criterion, and Motive, teasding gaming and "Star Wars" fans alike on details to come for the sequel, Express reported.

While Electronic Arts has been silent about giving out to much information regarding "Star Wars Battlefront 2," previous reports teased that the sequel will feature a single player campaign, which was not featured from its predecessor and more characters spanning from different "Star Wars" eras.

Meaning, players can expect several of their favorite "Star Wars" characters beyond the original trilogy such as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and the upcoming episode 8 "The Last Jedi" film.

Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen stated that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be “dramatically larger” than the first game. As a matter of fact, Jorgensen seemed incredibly excited at the prospect of the sequel, as he stated that the "Star Wars" universe is just unbelievable to build games in because it is so vast with lore and memorable characters.

The first "Star Wars Battlefront" hosted several characters from the newest movies in the "Star Wars" film series, as it featured materials from "Rogue One" and "The Force Awakens."

Content from the former film was introduced as a paid expansion pack called "Rogue One: Scarif well after the base game launched in 2015, while the latter flick was represented in the first-person shooter early on with the "Battle of Jakku" DLC, Gamerant reported.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" is speculated to launch in the fall of 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
