About 7,000 players of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" have been banned from online features and activities after being caught on altering their save files.
On November 18, 2016, "Pokémon Sun and Moon" launched for the Nintendo 3DS, which was the first video game installment of the seventh generation of Pokémon video games. But now, it seems like a lot of players are being banned from playing the video game.

The news regarding ban issue came from a post of a fan on the Pokémon website known as Serebii. The source claims that The Pokémon Company caught 7,651 players for altering their saved data, prompting the developers to drop account restrictions. The ban issue is also similar back in January this year. The same thing happened to the 5,954 users who were said to be cheating in the game, according to Kotaku.
When the account has been banned, the players can no longer access Game Sync, Rating Battles, Battle Competitions, and Global Missions. If a banned account tries to get access to these features, the user will receive the error code 090-0212.
The future bans will come out without any notice from the game developers Game Freak and The Pokémon Company to dispose of the active accounts using cheats throughout the game. The Pokémon Company also said that they will not stop their hunt of cheaters.
As of now, it is still unknown on how to unban the blocked accounts.
