Meanwhile, Microsoft's Bill Stillwell again mentioned the intricacies of putting big games on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. Aside from the development of the game, licensing seems to be the company's major issues when comes to the BC feature. A licensing agreement must be made in order to update the game. Some developers prefer to keep their games on the Xbox 360 console.
The statement came amidst request to bring the "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. Previously, fans questioned why there are no Triple A games coming to the backwards compatibility list. Stillwell's statement answers the said queries. In July last year, the "Red Dead Redemption" arrived on the BC feature.
It was later followed by the "Mass Effect Trilogy," "The BioShock Trilogy" and "Skate 3." Last month, the Xbox One backwards compatibility list included the "Grand Theft Auto IV" in the feature. In other news, the upcoming Project Scorpio is groomed to host Xbox One and Xbox 360 games at a much incredible power.
According to the MS Poweruser, the all new Project Scorpio is designed to eliminate screen tearing and frame rate. Additionally, games that support the dynamic resolution will eventually be locked into their maximum resolution like the "Halo 5" and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." There is also an increase in memory bandwidth that will significantly make the console faster.
