The proven record and reliability of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge makes it one of the highly sought phablets in the market in 2017. (YouTube)
There will be two flagship phablet releases this 2017 from Samsung. One will be for the rumored Galaxy Note 8 that is expected to launch September this year and the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 that was recalled in late 2016. The latter will reenter the market with a smaller battery and a significantly reduced sticker price.

As widely speculated in the past weeks, Samsung has confirmed that instead of destroying the millions of Note 7 units it still holds in stock the devices will be reworked and re-introduced to developing markets in Asia and other select regions. To be sure, the resurrected Note 7 will be safer and it appears that to achieve that Samsung has downgraded the battery size.
From 3500mAh of the original release, the Note 7 will redeploy with a 3200mAh pack, WCCFTech reported, pointing to a Vietnamese blog site as source of its information. The logic it seems is that the battery downsizing will prevent battery overheating and explosion that plagued the phablet last year.
And to further generate interest on the refurbished Note 7, the same report indicated that the device will unbox with tempting sticker price. No exact figures were mentioned but the selling price is seen to realize sufficient revenues for the Asian tech giant.
Moving forward, Samsung is likely to commence working on the replacement for the Note 7 - the Galaxy Note 8 - that supposedly will make its market debut in the closing months of 2017. The company is rumored to unpack the new phablet as early as September with the introduction scheduled within the IFA 2017 trade show in Berlin, Germany.
The Note 8 is expected with specs bumps coming from the Galaxy S8 and with refinements of the design and features that were missed with the GS8. The device is also said to run on Snapdragon 835 but with increased RAM provision of up to 6GB RAM.
And the latest rumor from Korea, per the report by The Investor, suggested that the Galaxy Note 8 will have a front display larger than that of the Galaxy S8 Plus. If the latter boasts of 6.2-inch screen, the Note 8 will stretch a bit with 6.32-inch of viewing pleasure, the report said.
The Investor claimed on the same report that Samsung has already given the go for the Galaxy Note 8 project, hinting too that the device release date will happen ahead of schedule.
