In its official blog post, Niantic has officially confirmed that the augment reality game will receive an exciting update this spring season. It will introduce players to a co-op gameplay to a mainly single-player experience.
"With spring arriving in the northern hemisphere, players can look forward to all new cooperative social gameplay experiences in Pokemon Go that will give Trainers new and exciting reasons to get back into the sunshine," the company stated.
Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" players discovered hidden codes of upcoming features, which seem to agree with the cooperative gameplay that Niantic Labs has revealed about what fans can expect next in the game's spring update--nearby raids and updated gym features.
Although not much details are known about raids at this point in time, data miners found out from the set of codes that players will be receiving notifications when there are raids nearby. Apparently, it sounds pretty much as a cooperative experience that will let players to form a group and play as one team.
In relation to the updated gym feature, they speculate that it has to do with how much time Pokémon can keep their positions. Chances are, other players can likely push a Pokemon out of a gym by way of raids or as one of the changes coming with the major gym overhaul to be done in "Pokemon Go".
In earlier report, CEO John Hanke said that Niantic team is working on tweaking the in-game gym battles, which they found to be underutilized by players than anticipated. Needless to say, players of "Pokemon Go" must get ready to see some big changes in this aspect of the game as summer season is right around the corner.
