Could the Samsung Galaxy S8 have a similar fate as the Galaxy Note 7? (YouTube)
The Samsung S8 is not yet been released but already, consumers are complaining about one specific feature; the fingerprint scanner. In hopes of being able to maximize the screen of the device, the brand decided to put the fingerprint scanner at the back, beside the camera. It's a first for any flagship phone and just like any experimental feature, consumers are undecided about its practicality.

According to the DailyStar, while the said Samsung S8 issue does not affect the overall performance of the device, it's rather disconcerting to see the fingerprint scanner at the most unconventional location. Apparently, the fingerprint scanner is squeezed right beside the camera lens, causing fingerprint residues on the camera lens. As a result, blurred images are produced when capturing photos.
Samsung is fully aware of the issue, in fact, some customers who were able to experience the Samsung S8 said, the brand constantly reminded users to clean the camera lens before capturing images. Also, the issue was brought out after the initial introduction of the device last week. It is the first time Samsung issue such warning that clearly says, they knew about the problem, but can't do anything about it now.
Initial reports about the Samsung S8's specifications include a 5.8-inch screen with a 1440 x 2960 (QHD+) screen resolution. It has a total of 148.9 x 68 x 8mm in dimension and under the hood is an Exynos 8895 processor, 4GB RAM and a total of 64GB storage. It also has a 12MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera all powered by a 3,000mAH battery.
The Samsung S8 is scheduled for release on Friday, April 21 in the United States, whereas the UK region will have it on the following Friday, April 28. According to the Techradar, the Samsung S8's most significant feature is the fingerprint scanner located at the back.
