Despite the growing rumors for NVIDIA Volta, a new update indicates that the gear would not be using the 12-Nanometer but TSMC's 16-Nanometer FinFET+ Technology would be used. Despite the growing speculations, there has been no definitive proof that it would be integrated upon release.

Motley reports that  Paul McLellan with EDA vendor Cadence Design Systems recently penned a blog covering TSMC's technical disclosures at its Technology Symposium and in that blog, McLellan said that TSMC executive BJ Woo talked about what end markets TSMC is targeting with its menu of chip manufacturing technologies.

Since NVIDIA's high-performance graphics processors could certainly be counted as "high-performance computing" as well as "games" products and certainly not "mainstream smartphone and automotive" chips, it's clear that 12-nanometer is unlikely to be suitable for NVIDIA's Volta family of graphics processors, reports the same post.

On a different note, Telegiz formerly relayed that the latest specs and features of the NVIDIA Volta are designed to kill off competition. However, there are also speculations coming about that AMD Vega aims to counter the features with their own killer specs and features.

Although the rumors are on the rise, there are no clues that the speculation is accurate and reliable for NVIDIA Volta. Moreover, each tech gear centers on their own devices so that the product would outrun its competitors once it is released on the market.

For the tech enthusiast, it remains uncertain as to how far these devices would fare in the marketplace. Also, it remains unsettled as to which devices the users would opt for in the latter days. The NVIDIA Volta is slated for release in 2018, but the AMD Vega is set to launch this year, according to the same report.
