The new 9.7-inch iPad from the American tech company Apple is now available for pre-order in India via the Indian e-commerce company Flipkart. It comes in three color variants, namely, gold, silver, and space gray.

The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (32GB) Wi-Fi only model costs $432.87 (around Rs. 28,000) and the (32GB) Wi-Fi and Cellular model variant for only $508.62 (approximately Rs. 32,900). Once purchased, the user can get an extra $23.20 (Rs. 1501) off on the Apple Earpods. Meanwhile, the credit card users of Axis bank Buzz can acquire an extra 5% off as well.

The 9.7-inch iPad was launched last month with a brighter Retina display and better processor and performance. It is a newer version of the previously unveiled iPad back in 2014.

The Apple iPad highlights a 9.7-inch Retina display with over 3.1 million pixels (2048 x 1536 pixels in exact). It flaunts a thin aluminum unibody enclosure. An Apple's A9 chipset with 64-bit architecture provides power.

The Apple's 9.7-inch iPad features an 8-megapixel camera at the back with autofocus, 5P lens, an aperture of f/2.4, and several shooting modes. It is also accompanied with a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime high-definition camera on the front with an aperture of f/2.2 and a high-definition video recording capability.

The 9.7-inch iPad is loaded with a non-removable battery that the Apple company promises to deliver up to 10 hours of web surfing on Wi-Fi and around 9 hours of browsing the web on Cellular. It also provides support for LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, and GLONASS. It weighs 469 grams for the Wi-Fi only model and 478 grams for the Wi-Fi and Cellular variant.

Not only the Apple iPad 9.7-inch (32GB) model but also the iPad (128GB) model with Wi-Fi and 4G is listed on Flipkart as well. However, it is not for pre-orders. It can also be purchased with the same color options as the 32GB Wi-Fi only model with the higher price tag of $616.84 (approximately Rs. 39,900).
