Samsung is rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0 models
Reports suggest that the tech company Samsung is rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0 models. Also, Tab S2 owners in the United States will get the update in coming weeks.
At present, the update for the devices is being pushed out in Europe. Speculations are also doing the rounds that Galaxy Tab S2 owners in the United States will get the update soon. Previous reports indicated that the Tab S2 would receive the Android 7.0 N update in the forthcoming months.

The software update for the Tab S2's 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants is being rolled out in Italy and Germany, SamMobile reported. The 8-inch model of the Tab S2 having the number SM-T715 is being updated to Android 7.0 in Italy.
In Germany, the 9.7-inch model of the Tab S2 (model number SM-T810) is being updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, according to a Phone Arena report. The newest update for the device brings a gamut of new features. The features include the arrival of the Gamer Launcher app that will automatically be installed after the application of Android update.
In addition, the new update brings enhancements to the Notification feature, a new user interface and improvement to the Quick Settings buttons. Also, the update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 improves the multi-window functionality.
It is important to note that the Android 7.0 update for the Samsung tablet is an over-the-air one and will be rolled out to owners gradually. According to reports, users of the 9.7-inch and 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 in the United States are waiting for the arrival of the Android 7.0 N update.
In December 2016, the 9.7-inch model of the Tab S2 was seen running Android 7.0 on GFXBench. Moreover, the WFA certified the Galaxy Tab S2 models from Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile in January. If rumors are to be believed, the Android 7.0 Nougat update may make its way to owners in US in the coming weeks.
