In a recent study, scientists have successfully teleported lemonade through the Internet.
Brilliant scientists achieved this feat by detecting the taste and color of lemonade. The scientists behind this study are from Keio-NUS CUTE Center, which stands for Japan's Keio University and the National Singapore Connective Ubiquitous Technology froe Embodiments.

The teleportation device is a sensor stick embedded with a pH level and color sensor that gathered data about the lemonade drink. The detected taste and color of lemonade was then transmitted to a special tumbler with water mimicking the taste and color.
Metallic strips at the top will transmit the taste to a person's taste bud where a LED light imitates the greenish yellow color of lemonade. The water that is contained inside the tumbler may not be drunk. The person only stick his tongue on the metal strips, CNET added.
However, as i4u noted this process is not turning water into wine. The technology has not yet reached that level yet. Moreover, Nimensha Ranasinghe, one of the members of the project and a researcher at NUS, explained that they chose lemonade because its sourness can be simulated using an electric current.
Ranasinghe further explained that this technology could also stimulate bitter, salty, and sweet flavors. Until then, the project's commercialization may take a while as the team is still working on also transmitting smells so it can become more realistic.
