The Nokia 9's delay launch is speculated to have issues in the supply for Qualcomm Snapdragon 935 SoC chipsets which is expected to be in the upcoming handset. However, launching it in Q3 could also be a strategic move from HMD Global. Given that most OEMs like LG, HTC, and Samsung have revealed their flagship smartphones, it would not be considered as a prudent move to launch Nokia 9 now.
Nokia 9 Specs and Features
According to the report by Tech Times, the Nokia 9 will sport an OLED 5.5-inch QHD display. It will be powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with an Adreno 540 GPU. It is to come with 6GB of RAM together with 64GB worth of internal memory that can be expandable up to 128GB through MicroSD.
In terms of camera, it will sport a 22MP Carl Zeiss dual-lens at the rear. It will also be equipped with an iris scanner similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The upcoming handset is said to support Nokia OZO audio enhancements, fingerprint scanner, and a tout IP68 certification. It will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box and will be equipped with a 3,800mAh battery.
