Another "Call of Duty: World War II" leak has been spotted online. An alleged unreleased retail poster of the "Call of Duty 2017" series depicts of a Second World War setting with a caption of its potential release date set for November 3, 2017, according to PSU.

The cover image leak has made fans more excited about the upcoming game. Most gamers are convinced that Activision will surely be dealing with World War 2 events in the next "Call of Duty" game. Fans are banking on the previous statement of the developer that "[they] will take Call of Duty back to its roots."

The possibility of such a shift into old school warfare remains to be seen, especially as the company has learned from the results of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." Activision could push the World War 2 setting in contrast to the futuristic setting offered by its recent release.

"[I]t's clear that, for a portion of our audience, the space setting just didn't resonate. We have a passionate, experienced studio deeply committed to this direction, and despite the risks we saw, we believe it is important to consider the passions of our game teams in deciding what content to create," Activision chief operating officer Thomas Tippl said, according to Game Spot.
