Following are the five reasons why Huawei should be in charge of the Nexus 2016.

First, according to Paste Magazine, Nexus 6P developed by Huwaei was the best phone in Nexus series. This was mostly because of a sturdy hardware. According to NDTV, Huwaei is the largest telecom infrastructure maker, and has been in business of manufacturing mobile phones since 1997. Nexus 6P and Honor 5X, both delivered by Huawei, sported really great hardware.

Second, Huawei places special focus on a good battery life. This was demonstrated in Nexus 6P, Honor 5X, Huawei Mate 8 - all of which had a strong 4000 mAH battery capacity.

Third, Huawei is known for its cost-competitive products. Price of Nexus 6P was lower than its rivals- iPhone 6s Plus and Galaxy Note 5.

Fourth, a prompt fingerprint scanner has become a crucial ingredient in a smartphone. If Nexus 2016 is to live up to standards of its 2015 flagship product, it needs to have a fast and responsive fingerprint scanner. Since Huawei has an established record of delivering quality fingerprint scanners, Nexus 6P, Honor 5X and Huawei Mate 8 all surely sport cutting edge fingerprint scanners.

Fifth, Nexus 6P was a wildly popular device. Expectations for next device are a notch higher. In these circumstances, Google should partner with Huawei who has delivered Google's best smartphone so far.

It can be noted that Google released its first flagship smartphone Nexus One with HTC in January 2010. Next two phones - Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus - were manufactured by Samsung, while Nexus 4 and 5 were delivered by LG. Nexus 6 was developed by Motorola, while Nexus 5X was developed by LG again. It is time Huawei should be given a second chance.
