2016 GM Cadillac CT6 Problem
Another innovation has come its way this year as GM introduces Cadillac's Super Cruise. According to sources, the product is a great addition to the 2018 CT6 Seda and will go in a stiff competition with Tesla's Autopilot in a race to be the best innovation on the street.
According to Mashable, the hit carmaker has been doing the system for a long time and immediately gave fans a sneak peek last month. The said teaser went out when vehicle-to-vehicle communication was revealed to be the standard model for the 2017 CTS Sedan. Reports even confirmed that the Super Cruise is just the beginning of GM's many innovations to bring the self-driving system into reality.

Not just that, news also revealed that the Big Three is currently starting its test for the self-dependent Chevy Bolts. This is after the automaker tried to purchase Cruise Automation and to invest $500 million in Lyft. As it was described, the Cadillac would be having features like the advanced LiDAR-mapped date and a driver attention system, which would allow consumers to experience a hands-free driving adventure.
News believed that the said advancement would practically decrease the dependency of the drivers to artificial intelligence which would still require drivers to have their focus on driving. In a statement released by GM itself, it stated:
"The 2018 Cadillac CT6 will feature Super CruiseTM, the industry's first true hands-free driving technology for the highway. Unlike other driver assistance systems, Super CruiseTM utilizes two advanced technology systems - a driver attention system and precision LiDAR map data - to ensure safe and confident vehicle operation."
With all of this, Electrek reported that GM would still want the drivers to stay attentive at all-time despite the innovation that they would be presenting. Just to be sure, the company puts on a camera to monitor the user's attention while driving.
"The driver attention system uses a small camera located on the top of the steering column that focuses exclusively on the driver and works with infrared lights to track head position to determine where the driver is looking whenever Super CruiseTM is in operation."
However, it was also reiterated that the GM Super Cruise is a Level 2 autonomous system, which actually means that it is not totally a self-driving vehicle.
