The latest updates for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will feature the official trailer launch and possible playable characters in the sequel.

Electronic Arts announced that the official full-length trailer for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is scheduled to launch on April 15 at 11:30am LA time, 8:30pm Paris time, 7:30pm British Summer Time.

This follows that leaked teaser ad of the sequel, which featured popular "Star War" characters from all the movies from popular heroes and villains like Yoda and Darth Maul to the new sequels in "The Force Awakens" Rey and Kylo Ren.

The "Star Wars Battlefront 2" trailer also teased some of the story elements in the game’s single-player campaign, another part already confirmed for the sequel that fans felt was missing from the 2014 Battlefront game, VG 24/7 reported.

It is unknown yet if the trailer EA will be showing on Saturday is going to be the same as the leaked ad, or perhaps an extended cut of it. There’s also the possibility it is something completely different from the leak, however it will be unlikely to happen.

The trailer also happens to be the this year's "Star Wars Celebration" in Orlando. A special panel for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" which will be streamed online featuring game’s development team from the three separate Electronic Arts studios of DICE, Criterion, and Motive, teasing gaming and "Star Wars" fans alike on details to come for the sequel

Players can expect several of their favorite "Star Wars" heroes and villains beyond the original trilogy such as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and the upcoming episode 8 "The Last Jedi" film, even the prequel trilogy films, Express reported.

Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen stated that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be “dramatically larger” than the first game. As a matter of fact, Jorgensen seemed incredibly excited at the prospect of the sequel, as he stated that the "Star Wars" universe is just unbelievable to build games in because it is so vast with lore and memorable characters.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" is speculated to launch in the fall of 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
