To compete with AMD Ryzen's new lineup, Intel is said to be releasing the Skylake X-Series. This is in line with the Kaby Lake-X. one of their highly anticipated processors.
It would be interesting for users that both Kaby Lake-X and Skylake X will be introduced simultaneously. Skylake X will reportedly come in different types of processors which will be a 10-core, 8-core, and 6-core, which will be having a 140W TDP.

Moreover, it will be featuring a 44 PCI-Express 3.0 lane from the CPU, which has a total of 68 lanes. Other than it having a quad-channel DDR4-2667 memory support which also has a 140W TDP, it will also be having a 16 PCI-Express 3.0 lane, which has 40 lanes in total.
Meanwhile, Kaby Lake-X will be having a 4-core SKU which has an 112W TDP that is equipped with a Hyper-Threading Support. Furthermore, the processor has a dual-channel DDR4-2667 memory support as well that is said to be somewhat lower for 112W TDP. Despite that, Intel will allegedly market such processor as one of their Core i7-7000 series processors.
However, Auto World News reports that buying a new motherboard will be necessary for users who are planning to upgrade to the two processors. They will be introducing a new socket called Socket R4, which is also known as LGA 2066 which is part of Intel's Basin Fall platform.
This has continually provided excitement among its users ever since such news started last weekend. Supposedly, Skylake-X and Kaby-lake X will be Intel's new offering with its high-end desktop line.
Other than that, speculations have been circulating about Intel introducing a new processor later this year. The processor which is called Coffee Lake will most likely be launched in the fourth quarter of 2017. Reportedly, it will be followed by the 10nm Cannon Lake launch.
Both Skylake X and Kaby Lake-X will purportedly be officially introduced in Computex which will be running from May 30-June 3, 2017. It is months earlier than that of Intel's first announcement that they will be introducing the two processors in Gamescom which will be running from August 22-26, 2017.
