Team Ninja's critically acclaimed action RPG, "Nioh", is slated to receive its first DLC, dubbed as Dragon of the North, early next month. The much awaited PvP feature will also finally arrive in the game on the same date.
The first ever expansion for "Nioh" will introduce players to a new region, weapons, ninja skills, enemies, magic and other exciting features. The Dragon of the North DLC will be coming to the PS4-exclusive game on May 2.

In this latest add-on, the story of William and his challenges in the main game. The official plot description via PlayStation blog reads, "Rumors have emerged from the Oshu region that its ambitious ruler, Masamune Date (the "one-eyed dragon") is secretly gathering spirit stones. With the Yokai flourishing in Oshu, turmoil and unrest is inevitable."
In the May 2 DLC for "Nioh", gamers will also discover an all new region with its own original stages, fight new Yokai enemies as well as wield a new weapon called the odachi.
Other than that, there will be addition of new armor, ninja skills, magic and Guardian Spirits. The PvP feature that has been long requested in the game will finally arrive along with the Dragon of the North DLC on May 2.
Season pass holders of "Nioh" will get the Dragon of the North DLC for free while the rest can pay for it separately for €9.99 / £7.99 or $10.61 USD. The game's season pass currently sells at PlayStation Store for €24.99 / £19.99 or $26.55 USD.
In more news, there are already talks of a follow-up to the first game as Team Ninja reaps the fruit of its labor with a critical acclaim and huge success in sales, WCCFTech reported.
Via an interview with Famitsu, Game Director Fumihiko Yasuda was asked whether "Nioh 2" is on the cards or not. Yasuda said that while the development of the sequel is yet not decided upon, it's being considered.
The game developer has unquestionably received a warm reception for "Nioh" in the US, Europe and rest of the world including in its native country, Japan. The game has already one million copies following its release in February this year.
