Many are still in shock after Intel announced that it is set to cancel the Intel Developer Forum. The forum was an annual event that served as a stage for developers to showcase their latest technological innovations that feature Intel Hardware.
According to Fortune, the reason for the cancellation was disclosed on the IDF website. In a statement, the company pointed out that it has evolved its event portfolio, and decided to end the IDF program.

"Intel has evolved its event portfolio and decided to retire the IDF program moving forward. Thank you for nearly 20 great years with the Intel Developer Forum. Intel has a number of resources available on intel.com, including a Resource and Design Center with documentation, software, and tools for designers, engineers, and developers," Intel's statement said.
It was even reiterated that Intel would be offering a diverse number of products that would eventually lead to more focused events, just like what happened in the Artificial Intelligence day.
Wired revealed that the next IDF event was set to be held in China. However, there were reports that it would take place in California instead. However, it seems like an event would not happen for any of the locations.
