HTC U that is codenamed as HTC Ocean will be finally unveiled in the coming month.
At the start of the year, HTC introduced its new U series of smartphones with the launch of HTC U Ultra and U Play. However, none of these feature flagship specs. Popular leakster, Evan Blass has been spilling leaked information on an alleged HTC flagship phone called HTC U.

HTC has now released media invites for May 16 launch event. The invite does not directly mention the arrival of HTC U, but it carries the letter U indicate that the HTC U is arriving next month. The invite says that the launch event will begin at 2 PM in Taipei. The unveil event will kick off at 2 AM in New York and 7 PM in London, Gizmo China reported.
The Taiwanese company has also released a tweet carrying a short video clip which shows a hand pressing the touch-sensitive sides of the phone. Previous rumors have revealed that the HTC U will come be coming with a touch-sensitive frame called Edge Sensors, Playful Droid reported.
A leaked video that surfaced earlier this year revealed that by pressing the Edge Sensor of the phone, users can access functions of the phone. Speculations are rife that the HTC U will not be featuring any physical buttons.
According to leaked information, the HTC U is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch quad HD screens. It is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. The 4 GB RAM variant of the phone is pegged to include 64 GB storage whereas the 6 GB RAM model is speculated to come with 128 GB storage.
It will be running on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and Sense 9 UI. It will be featuring a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing shooter of 16-megapixel. It will be packed with a 3,000 mAh capacity battery.
