"The Sims 4" is expected to receive Pets DLC at some future time, according to the recent leaks that are making the rounds online. Apparently, data miners have discovered secret codes from game files hinting the addition of pets to the current game of the franchise.
Maxis has yet to confirm the addition of pets to "The Sims 4" but fans have already shown their excitement for this speculated DLC to make it to the game. And while waiting for the offiial announcement, here are five of the potential key features that fans might see in this rumored expansion pack.

Exotic Pets
It is already common for people to have dogs and cats as classic pets. In the Pets Expansion Pack, however, Sims can also get smaller exotic pets that include rodents, fish, snakes, lizards turtles and even parrots in "The Sims 4".
The addition of exotic pets can also develop some skills for Sims like train parrots to talk and so on. They can also get wellness and fun of sorts just by taking care of these type of pets at tome.
Adopt a Pet
It is also plausible that in the Pets DLC for "The Sims 4", the development team will add an "Adopt a Pet" feature. This addition sounds as a realistic trait from previous games that will return in the current title.
It remains to be seen whether Sims can build their own pet shops or not in Pets Expansion Pack. But to give a pet a home forever becomes more emotionally rewarding than having pet shops.
Pet Careers
Pet Careers is also one of potential key feature to be included in "The Sims 4" Pets DLC. Sims can choose from one of the three career options: Security, Service or Showbiz.
Fans can also recall well that this feature was first introduced in "The Sims 2: Pets". It can also promote a healthy bond between the Sim and their pets that must learn some tricks so as to be promoted.
Developing Traits
It is also deemed likely for fans to see the return of developing traits as one of key features in the Pets Expansion Pack. This trait first appeared in the "The Sims 3: Pets".
In this feature, pets get to develop the sames traits with their owners like being quiet, loyal, messy or piggy. It will also make the gameplay quite exciting just like in the third main game of "The Sims" series.
El Bandito
The fifth key feature in "The Sims 4: Pets" is the addition of El Bandito from the first game. Sims can feel closer to their environment with the appearance of wild animals. It would be a nice touch to see Sims' pets get into a fight with those undomesticated animals such as raccoons wandering around the neighborhood.
At this point in time, Maxis or EA has not mentioned of "The Sims 4: Pets" since it was leaked online a few months ago. For now, Simmers can look forward to getting their hands on the soon-to-be-released Family-themed game pack confirmed to arrive this spring.
