Gun Media and IllFonic have finally confirmed the "Friday the 13th: The Game" release date next month across different gaming platforms. A brand new trailer has also come along with the big announcement in its bid to whet the appetite of fans for the multiplayer survival horror game.
"Friday the 13th: The Game" will see a simultaneous release date on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows come May 26. However, the game's single-player will arrive later this year.

The game developer confirmed that "Friday the 13th: The Game" single-player mode will arrive to the game as a free update this summer, GameSpot reported.
The horror game, which started off live with Kickstarter campaign, will feature the iconic Jason Voorhes from the horror movies of the same title. It was initially called "Summer Camp" that will feature seven camp counselors who go for an adventure trip to Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge, the three maps featured in the game.
Apparently, all of them will have to survive against masked killer Jason Voorhes who uses an axe and a variety of special skills like Morph, Sense, Rage and Shift. In the game, players can opt to play as Jason in the hunt of the seven counselors or one of the seven trying to ing to escape from hellish Crystal Lake.
Along with the release date announcement is a brand new trailer for "Friday the 13th The Game". It offers a sneak peek at Jason's brutal executions including the locations that players can explore.
"Friday the 13th: The Game" will be released on May 26, 2017 as a digital game at a price of $40. In the meantime, fans can enjoy watching the game's thrilling new trailer below.
