In other news, it seems that Square Enix could drop "Final Fantasy XV" for the PC platform sometime next year.
Game director Hajime Tabata stated in an interview that he wants to put it as a "technical attempt" and wants PC users to appreciate the sequel running on a high-end machines.
However, the idea of porting "Final Fantasy XV" to the PC is not just about improving its visuals and Square Enix is interested in seeing how the introduction of user-created content could benefit the game's experience, Gematsu reported.
Tabata explained that it will take one year for Square Enix to develop "Final Fantasy XV" on the PC platform and will likely launch sometime in 2018. PC users were adamant about having the game in the PC as they have created several petitions for it prior to its release in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
Square Enix previously showcased "Final Fantasy XV" running in the the PC using Nvidia's new GTZ 1080 Ti. The demo showed "Final Fantasy XV" characters running through fields of grass, showing off Nvidia’s TurfEffects, as well as fluid and fur dynamics. Tabata stated that the PC demo is the current status of their game engine, Luminous Studio Pro, which is made possible by this collaboration with Gameworks.
When Tabata was asked directly if "Final Fantasy XV" will be coming to the PC platform, the latter just said "no comment" and explained that its a "tech test" with a teasing smile.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One.
