This latest development surrounding the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" must have appalled fans who have been keeping their hopes up to get their hands on either or borth of the games this year. The most recent investors document of Square Enix as shared via NeoGAF has revealed the company's huge titles to launch this year including the ones set for its fiscal year 2018, which happens from April 2017 to March 2018.
The upcoming game "Dragon Quest XI" is getting a vague "2017" release date. But "Kingdom Hearts 3", "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" including the future Marvel games have no launch dates to hold on to just yet.
It is noted that this is not at all an official announcement from the game developer and that none of these games will possibly come out this year. However, game analysts say that there is a slim chance to see these games to arrive before 2018.
But these new findings on the release date status of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" does not come as a surprise to the many. The partnership between Square Enix and Marvel is relatively new and game director Tetsuya Nomura said earlier that not one of the two projects he is working on is nearing its release.
Nomura mentioned that there are still worlds untouched for "Kingdom Hearts 3" and it is still some way to go with regard to the development of the next title in the RPG series. On the brighter side of things, he talked about his desire to showcase both of the games' progress at an event somewhere this year.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is under development for Xbox One and PS4. On the other hand, "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is coming as an exclusive title for PlayStation 4.
