"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will have dedicated servers and features a new class system that can be drastically customized. Also, the star cards will not be making a return in the sequel.
Design director Dennis Brannvall confirmed via Twitter that the game will have dedicated servers for multiplayer the same way with the 2015 game. "We will have dedicated servers, like always," Brannvall tweeted.

He further revealed that the Star Cards system will not be returning in "Star Wars: Battlefront 2". These ability cards were unlocked as players level up and gave them a wide range of items including grenades, jetpacks and single-use power-ups.
Moreover, in "Star Wars: Battlefront 2", there is a new class system and will not offer the same level of "freedom" as the previous Star Card system. With this new feature, players can drastically customize their trooper class to suit their playing style.
He also touched on the reloading system, which is going to be some kind of combination of cooldown and reloading, although he did not elaborate it further. "We're doing some improvements and we'll have more details later," his post read.
The sequel to the 2015 game is expected to feature a lot of new characters from the new Star Wars movies. Electronic Arts' CFO Blake Jorgensen also said that fans may expect some major Rogue One love. According to Jorgensen, the Star Wars universe is very large that it is just unbelievable to build games in because it is so vast.
Finally, some of the content included in the "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" Deluxe Edition can only be unlocked by playing. As announced earlier, some of these contents include "upgraded" abilities for every Trooper class:Assault, Officer, Heavy and Specialist.
"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will be out on November 17 on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. In the meantime, fans can watch again the full length reveal trailer below.
