The latest update for "Injustice 2" will feature Braniac gameplay trailer and the Joker spotted in leaked achievement list.

It seems that the rumors of The Joker coming back in "Injustice 2" seems to come true when the sequel's achievement list revealed several referrences related to the Clown Prince of Crime. The first achievement is ‘I Love You, I Hate You’ where Harley Quinn must defeat the Joker by using her Go Night Night ability as the final hit. In addition, ‘Why Aren’t You Laughing?’ asks players to use Joker’s ‘Not So Funny Is It?’ move to land the final hit on Batman, Gamerant reported.

While NetherRealm Studios has been keeping silent about The Joker's involvement in "Injustice 2," the popular DC villain has been the subject of many rumors and speculations. After all, The Joker is infamously known to have turned Superman in the dark side, being responsible for the murder of Lois Lane and his yet unborn child during the first game.

Game director Ed Boon has been hinting, if not trolling gaming fans on Twitter regarding The Joker in "Injustice 2" even going so far as asking gaming and DC fans if they want the first Red Hood or Jason Todd's version of the character.

Meanwhile, NetherRealm Studios streamed the new gameplay trailer of Brainiac in "Injustice 2" this week.

Braniac uses his metallic tentacles and alien technology to fight and defeat his foes in combat. His ultimate move will have summon his drones to subdue his opponents, while he fires a massive energy beam cannon on his ship, GameSpot reported.

The Superman villain will be the central antagonist in "Injustice 2" as he invades earth, while Regime and Insurgency wage war on each other. Braniac also searches for Superman and Supergirl as they are the last two surviving Kryptonians after their homeworld Krypton is destroyed.

In order to fight Braniac, both Superman and Batman must set aside their differences and be the heroes that they are meant to be to save the earth.

Previous reports revealed that "Injustice 2" could feature a new tag-team game mode similar to 2009 "Mortal Kombat" game, as well as a Tournament mode for gamers, who want an even playing field due to the Gear System.

There is also news of the Xbox One version file size of 26.82GB. The HDD size requirement is on the lower side considering the fact that most of the games nowadays takes close to 40-50GB HDD space for installation.

"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
