Least known and experienced by most countries, the chikungunya virus is spreading fast and is affecting major countries like the United States. It is was first recorded in the Caribbean and South America, which causes joint pains that may last for several weeks.

Simple symptoms like fever and sore throat may be prescribed a medication by a doctor. However, with severe symptoms, like seizures, muscle weakness, and even brain damage may require drastic medical procedures more than simple fever medication.
Lastly, perhaps one of the most highly publicized effect of a mosquito bite is dengue fever. In the last few decades, outbreaks were reported in the parts of South Texas, Hawaii, and the Florida Keys, despite being more prevalent in parts of Africa, Asia, Pacific Islands, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
The principal symptoms of dengue fever would include but not limited to a severe headache, severe eye pain (behind eyes), joint pain, muscle and/or bone pain, rash, and even mild bleeding manifestations, according to CDC. Noticing these signs, experts suggest that one should immediately see a doctor for thorough examination.
