There have been speculations that "Elder Scrolls 6" will be released this year. Some major announcements are expected to be made at E3 2017, and "Elder Scrolls 6" could be one of the games that be showcased at the event.
E3 2017 is set to take place a few months from now. Bethesda is expected to reveal some details of the game at the event. Among other things, the developer could announce that the game will have a multiplayer mode.

According to Gaming Bolt, Pete Hines, vice president of public relations and marketing at Bethesda, revealed on Twitter that the company has something big in store for the upcoming E3 show. The developer is expected to unveil some games that it would release in the near future. However, it has not been confirmed if the company would reveal anything about "The Elder Scrolls 6," the sequel to the hit game Skyrim.
While Bethesda is said to be eager to see a Skyrim sequel come into reality. The company is not just focused on one game, but it has a lot of projects in store for this year. Bethesda might release some of its major games this year, including "Fallout," "New Vegas," "The Evil Within," and "Wolfenstein: The New Order."
Meanwhile, rumors are making rounds that "Elder Scrolls 6" would come with a multiplayer option. The rumors started after it was revealed that Bethesda is looking to employ someone who has experience in developing an online multiplayer environment.
Despite the talks, Bethesda remains silent, and many expected the company to have its say at E3 2017.
