The game developer has already confirmed that the next "Destiny 2" gameplay reveal will happen on May 18 in Los Angeles. It follows the game's debut last month, which only showed off a short trailer and announced the release date of the popular space shooter title.
Interestingly enough, Business Insider received a physical content package from Bungie's parent company, Activision. The package has offered a host of clues that would hype up fans some more.
The publication reported that the said package contained a notice as to date it can publish the information about "Destiny 2" from the May 18 reveal. It also has a physical invite to the event set in LA plus a nice figurine of Cayde-6, a beloved character from the original title.
In the small black card reads, "Welcome to a world without light", which is written red letters. The author is betting that since "Destiny 2" will be bringing in insane new abilities, the statement could be taken as a warning to players. Before they get new powers in the second title, they lose the powers they gained in the first title.
In addition, there is gorgeous metal pin that came with the invitation card that takes Ghost's form. Ghosts are robotic drones that go everywhere with the players' characters to guide them. However, it comes in black instead the usual white color.
The clues gathered from the physical content package suggest that "Destiny 2" will have a darker theme than "Destiny 1". Players should be ready to lose their powers and even their Ghosts. However, the game will also have some light moments from the humor that Cayde-6 will bring in the game.
