A Tesla car owner prepares to charge his car at one of the charging stations.
The company founded by Elon Musk is making a critical move this year concerning the Tesla experience of their customers. Aside from introducing enhanced Tesla car models, the company will also be improving their Supercharger network.
The manufacturer of electric luxury cars is currently facing a setback concerning the charging stations of their vehicles. Certain Supercharger stations are facing a problem of overcrowding, especially on peak travel days.

Seeing that, Elon Musk's company will be making its boldest move yet, according to The Motley Fool. Tesla plans to double the size of the Supercharger network this year.
Space per se is not the main issue, for there are an enormous amount of space available in most period time. However, some Supercharger stations tend to be crowded than others at a given moment of the day, resulting to unreasonable queue.
There have been remedies made by the company in the previous year regarding complaints about their fast charging networks. In November last year, the company posted on their blog that customers who will buy their vehicles after January 1, 2017, will have 1,000 miles of free charging, according to Fortune.
The elimination of their lifetime free charging aimed to regulate charging activities of users. Secondly, the Elon Musk car manufacturing company also implemented an "idle fee" of $0.40/minute.
The reason behind such fee is to discipline their clients not to simply leave their Tesla cars parked at Supercharger stalls for more than five minutes, even after they have fully charged their electronic vehicle.
To justify their move, the manufacturer of electric vehicle emphasized cessation of abuse by some customers about car charging. With the elimination of certain perks, customers will choose to utilize home charging first than Supercharging stations.
To resolve the situation at hand, Tesla plans to add more Superchargers this year. As of the current writing, there are more than 5,000 Superchargers operating, and Elon Musk's company plans to double it to more than 10,000 by the end of 2017.
