As expected, the Galaxy S8 is far from perfect as the latest Samsung flagship is currently plagued by random device reboots, wireless charging issues, display burn-in and a host of other concerns. Hopefully all these will be resolved by the Galaxy Note 8 release.

The latest reports from South Korea showed complaints of screen burn-in, specifically for the pressure-sensitive home key of the Galaxy S8. According to the Korea Herald, some users contacted Samsung concerning the virtual control button - that the designed used by device engineers left permanent ghost buttons on the device.

The issue actually has a self-healing and built-in solution. Samsung's designer programmed the virtual home key to slightly move from its position supposedly to prevent screen burn-in. The idea was to rest the pixels on the display area where the virtual button is located. It was the same approach used for the PC screen saver, which was originally designed to prevent permanent imprint on the screen of CRT monitors.

Samsung said the GS8 has algorithm-based solution, deployed with the device OS, to the problem and to date no screen damages have been reported.

However, there are other problems plaguing the GS8 such as the random reboots, wireless charging, Wi-Fi connectivity and red display tint. Samsung insists the firmware update deployed for the device already resolved the issue, and it might be the case.

But really, the near-perfection missed by Samsung with the Galaxy S8 can only be achieved with the Galaxy Note 8, the 2017 rollout of which the company has essentially confirmed. Essentially, Samsung's Note phablet represents not only step ups the Galaxy S series but also refinements of the latter. That means, the Galaxy Note 8 like its predecessors will be the better cut of the GS8.

BGR said the Galaxy Note 8 will rectify what went slightly wrong with the GS8. Likely, the fingerprint sensor will be better located, the display screen will be larger with the same stunning Infinity Display and all the other GS8 concerns no longer around to annoy users.

And there will be features that surely will not be found on the GS8, foremost of which is the S Pen stylus.
