Having the Light cut off from the Guardians is something of a game changers withing "Destiny 2's" gameplay. Whether that’s actually the case, or whether this is just clever marketing, remains to be seen.
In addition to the Light being taken out of the Guardians, the "Destiny 2" invite also revealed the fates of the Traveler and the Ghosts in the game. The invitation points out that the Traveler is now dormant in the game, since the Light has faded and their is an image of a lifeless Ghost in the invitation hinting that they too, no longer without the Light.
The Traveler and the Ghosts are key elements in "Destiny" serving as leaders and guides to the Guardians in their quests. Now that the Light has been extinguished, a possible result of the Ghaul's Cabal invasion on the Tower, players might expect something new in "Destiny 2's" game reveal this month.
