An upcoming update from the Facebook-run instant messaging application would reportedly allow users to delete their sent messages.

Users would reportedly only be able to "unsend" a message if the "double-blue tick" has not been shown yet. Users can press the message and wait until the pin, delete or mute option shows up.
WhatsApp is yet to set a release date for the update. However, it is expected to be released for both Android and iOS.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp recently released a feature that allows users to post self-deleting snaps, just like Snapchat. The feature, which is named WhatsApp Status, allows a user post a video or GIF that would automatically disappear after 24 hours. It is somewhat similar to Facebook's My Day feature.
