Gaming fans are disappointed with Ed's design and preferred his hooded appearance that revamped version today, PvP Live reported. Ed made his debut in "Street Fighter 4" as one of the many spare bodies created by M. Bison, but was stolen by Seth in one of his S.I.N. laboratories. He was found by Balrog and taken under his wing as his protege. The character posses psycho powers and has appeared in the DLC story of "Street Fighter 5" alongside Balrog.
Capcom also announced that Ed could make his official debut this week will likely be a playble character in upcoming beta test for the Capcom Fighters Network, PCGamesN reported. Ed is the latest line of DLC fighter coming to "Street Fighter 5" along with Akuma and Kolin.
The new beta test for the revamped Capcom Fighters Network will start on May 11 until May 14, and it will be available in both the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. The beta test will be open to everyone regardless if they have or not have a "Street Fighter 5" game and will feature cross-platform gameplay.
This is the second beta test for the new CFN, which comes as part of Capcom's effort to overhaul "Street Fighter 5's" online component. The first test came in April and "allowed" Capcom to make further adjustments to optimize the new CFN.
However, when Capcom decided to conduct another beta, it meant delaying the new DLC character and balance updates, which were original slated to launch by the end April. Because they require the new CFN infrastructure, they are being held back until the new version goes live.
"Street Fighter 5" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
