Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta update rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note 5
According to latest reports, South Korean company Samsung is rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta update to Galaxy Note 5.
Only 200 individuals were selected to take part in the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android Marshmallow update beta stateside, according to 9to5Google. All of them are using the AT&T Galaxy Note 5 variant (SDM-N920A) and some have begun to get the update.

People who applied for the Note 5 Android M beta update in the United States have got emails about how to install the new update.
Smartphone manufacturers deploy new firmware to some select individuals first, and upon getting the feedback from people, they release the software to all.
The update is 1.35 GB in size and has the build number MMB29K.N920AUCU2BPB1, according to a SamMobile report. Users can install the update via a proprietary Samsung app. Reports suggest that the electronics giant will start full-fledged update release by the end of February.
In January, users of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 in South Korea and the United Kingdom were invited to participate in beta testing for the Android M update. Users who registered began getting the beta software very fast afterwards.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smartphone was released in August last year. The device features a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 pixels x 2560 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery and it runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. The device, which weighs 171.00 grams, measures 153.20mm x 76.10mm x 7.60mm.
The Note 5 is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and it has 4GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sports a 16-megapixel primary camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies.
Meanwhile, according to the figures released by the search giant Google, it appears that Android Marshmallow accounts for 1.2% of all Android devices.
Nexus devices were the first to get the latest update. Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings the Doze power saving feature that extends battery life by 30% depending on the internal hardware of the device.
