"God Of War 4" could be revealed at E3 2017. Sony has allegedly prepared a series of announcements for the event. It is believed that "God of War" might be launched this year.
According to Express, some retail sites have confirmed that "God Of War 4" might be released on September 4, 2017. Many developers are expected to release their games in September. Some details of the game are expected to be introduced at E3 2017.

Meanwhile, there are talks that "God Of War 4" might not be adapting the gameplay of its predecessor. The game will reportedly not be set in ancient Greece. It would reportedly be launched exclusively on PS4.
"Egyptian mythology was the other one, and half the team was way into that," said Cory Barlog, the company's creative director. "All of them had great reasons. I think, for me, as I looked at both of those, Egyptian mythology is about the pharaohs as embodiments of the gods on earth, and there's a lot more about civilization - it's less isolated, less barren."
Meanwhile, a lot of improvements are expected in "God of War 4."
