"FIFA 18" will continue to feature The Journey with new characters and new storylines in the new season. Speculations also have it the Paul Pogba will be the star on the cover of this year's iteration of the FIFA series.
The Journey is a game mode that brought success to "FIFA 17", making it as one of the top-selling console games of 2016 and EA's best-selling FIFA game of all time. There are more than 10 million fans who have played The Journey and Ultimate Team players are inching up about ten percent every year.

In a report by Gamespot, Electronic Arts will build on the success of "FIFA 17". It plans to bring in a new and improved version of The Journey game mode.
"FIFA 18 will build on the foundation we created with story mode this year, bringing players back to The Journey with Season 2, featuring new characters and new storylines," said Andrew Wilson of Electronic Arts.
The Journey is a game mode where players guide a character from its humble beginnings up to international stardom. In "FIFA 17" The Journey, Alex Hunter is the protagonist where the players must take on his character and lead his career from the Under-11s to the Premier League.
The big question now is who will be the new cover star for "FIFA 18"? Surprising as it may be, but recent reports may have the answer right now.
In a most recent article published by Game Reactor, a "FIFA 18" video has leaked online, showing some of the game's new features. Along with it shows Paul Pogba as the new cover star for the game.
The trailer also showed the second season for The Journey, a new VR mode, and a new feature for Ultimate Team Mode called Spin the Wheel. Furthermore, it also refers a FIFA Street expansion for "FIFA 18", and also a World Cup 2018 game mode.
The report says that it looks legit, but there are some details in the video that suggest it is not genuine. So, until it is officially confirmed by EA, fans should it with a grain of salt.
There is no release date yet "FIFA 18" but like with "FIFA 17", it is expected to be out for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. EA has also confirmed that the next FIFa game will also hit Nintendo Switch.
