Supercell is inviting all hardcore players of "Clash Royale" Crown Championship Global Series and the first phase of the tournament, Open Play, has officially begun today through May 16. Some speculations are also swirling online about an upcoming update that may add water battles and ship wars.

Supercell has officially fired the shot for the race to a million dollar pot money for "Clash Royale" Crown Championship Global Series, which officially kicked off today, May 11.
Thousands of players across Europe, North America, and Latin America will battle everyday, where there will be an estimated million players to compete during Phase 1, the Open Play tournaments. Registration is now open and interested gamers can sign up now at the official Crown Championsip website.
In all three regions mentioned, the top 20 winners from each Open Play tournament will be qualified to advance move on to Phase 2, which is the Bracket Play set on May 20 to May 27.
Then the top 8 will battle it out in Phase 3 (June 10-25). The best two will compete for the shiny prize to win in Spring Finals scheduled on June 30 to July 2.
In more news, recent reports are making rounds online about a purported new update coming to "Clash Royale". Speculations claim that this next update will introduce players to water battles or ship wars.
Supercell will reportedly bring in simiar new features from "Clash of Clans" upcoming massive update that will apparently include a shipwreck feature. Reports cited that the arenas and maps of "Clash Royale" are best suited to accommodate this interesting addition to the game.
Fans have also wished to see the addition of aerial defense in the possible next update to fuel more excitement in playing "Clash Royale". But while Supercell has not officially confirmed this alleged update, it is best to take it as mere speculations or rumors.
