Details about the specs, price, and release date of the OnePlus 5 continues to be the topic of speculations as users look for an alternative to Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy Series smartphones. The upcoming device would reportedly come with impressive features that could make it a flagship killer.

OnePlus has confirmed that it would release a flagship device by summer. Some details of the device have since surfaced online.

Based on an online listing, the device will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM, according to Hot Hardware. For its storage, it will come with 8GB of RAM.

The hardware is on par with the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 series in terms of processor. However, they are yet to be tested and compared.

The specs of OnePlus 5 also suggests that it will also have a dual camera. The potential resolution of the device's camera is at least 23 megapixels on the rear, and 16 megapixels on its front camera.

A design render recently surfaced online, which details of a dual camera setup. The OnePlus 5's imaging capability may be as impressive as that of the iPhone or the Galaxy series smartphone.

Additionally, based on a previous image leak, users would have to deal with unique antenna lines at the back of the smartphone. This is similar to the design of the recently launched Samsung device, the Galaxy C7 Pro.

As most rumors suggest, the OnePlus 5 specs and other features were inspired by the currently leading brands. The design and build of the upcoming OnePlus 5 will likely resonate with the current trends. Most listings online suggest that it would have a price tag $450. 

Although the OnePlus 5 may be a flagship killer, it is unclear how it performs.
